OPENING PRAYER FOR MR. & MISS United Nation’s Organisation (UNO)

Let us give ourselves some moments of silence and feel the presence of God as we say, In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Almighty Father, we worship and adore you.

We thank you for all the blessings that you have given us, for walking with us everyday and for being with us in each moment.

This afternoon, as we gather together for the Presentation of Candidates for Mr. & Miss UNO 2018 and for the Selection of the Best in Costume, we ask you to bless our gathering with friendship and unity.

Please hold our candidates under your hands of guidance and care as they will be bringing us all to the places we have never been and let us see the wonders of those places as they showcase the different costumes and presentations of the nations around the world.

And please let them instill in their minds that our activity this afternoon is not just about having fun and winning the best in costume but rather motivating them to understand that our main purpose of celebrating United Nation’s Organization (UNO) is to bring us all together to work in peace and development, based on the principles of justice, human dignity and well-being of all the people.

All these we pray, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
